Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 22, 2026
This page explains what this website stores in your browser and what it is used for. Cognibyte Software Services Private Limited sets nothing optional until you say yes: analytics load only after you accept them, and declining leaves the site fully working.
Strictly necessary — always on
We remember the cookie choice you make so the banner does not ask again on every page. This is kept in your browser's local storage rather than as a cookie, under the name “cognibyte:consent”, and it records only your choice, how you made it, and when. It never leaves your browser.
Our hosting provider may also set technical cookies needed to serve and secure the site, and the anti-spam check on the contact form may set one while it verifies that a person is submitting the form. These cannot be switched off without breaking the thing they protect.
Analytics — only if you accept
Google Analytics 4 tells us which pages are read, how people arrive, and where they stop. It sets cookies in your browser to distinguish one visit from another.
Microsoft Clarity shows us how pages are actually used, through heatmaps and session replay. Replay means your mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and the pages you saw are recorded and played back to us as a reconstruction of the visit. Text you type into form fields is masked before it leaves your browser, so we do not see what you write in the contact form — but the recording is more than a page count, and we would rather say so plainly than describe it as anonymous statistics.
Both load only after you accept analytics, and both stop if you withdraw that consent.
The map on the contact page — only if you press it
Our contact page can show a Google map of the office. It is not loaded with the page: you see a notice and a “Load map” button, and the map is fetched only when you press it. Until then nothing about your visit reaches Google.
Press it and Google may set cookies in your browser, exactly as it would on Google Maps itself. This is separate from the analytics choice above — it is a per-visit decision you make by pressing the button, not something your cookie preferences switch on. Reload the page and it is back to asking.
The office address is printed on the page as text, so you can find us without loading the map at all.
Changing your mind
Use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page to review or change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent stops further collection straight away.
You can also clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser's settings. If you clear the stored choice, the banner will ask again on your next visit.
